Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - von Nev - 10-18-2007 Anybody want to beat up on the Germans in a Minsk 44 campaign as the Russians? Looking to play the 129 turn campaign: 0623_01c: The Destruction of Army Group Center - no Fixed Units_Alt Default rules and recon spotting. Let me know. Marty P.S. Please be committed to completing the campaign. I can do 2 turns per week. Some weeks more. Would like an opponent with similar rate. RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - Lowlander - 10-18-2007 Would like to try this, but would prefer to wait to the weekend before starting, turn rate no problem. Contact me if interested. RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - Phatman - 10-19-2007 I'm up for that. If the opportunity still exists send me a response and I will begin. RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - von Nev - 10-19-2007 Hey Lowlander, You have the game. Starting this weekend is not a problem either. Also, when you set the game up, please use the recommended optional rules for playing Volcano's Alt scenarios found here: https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=42443 And add "Automatic Defensive Fire" for a PBEM game. Foul let me know about the recommended optional rules for these alt scenarios. Thanks Foul! Send me the turn to "martynev04 (at) yahoo.com" when you are ready. Good luck Sir! Marty P.S. Thanks too for the offer Phatman. I look forward to perhaps another scenario at another time. RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - Mr Grumpy - 10-19-2007 Happy to help Marty :) RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - Lowlander - 10-20-2007 Have set up game with requested rules, will now spend some time planning my AXIS of advance, my advice to all russian troops is " go West young man ". RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - cavalry corps - 10-23-2007 May I tell you a couple of things This scn is great great great BUT Its broken As with my Real Life version od EA42 campaign it need overhauling and I will be working on that once I finish it . the main point is as Germans you cannot withdraw because there are too many VP locations near the front I managed 2-1 losses on the Russian with some hefty counter attacks on the river crossings the historical was about 6-1 ( Axis Soviet ) but still I will wiped out in 50 turns I think . I wonder if there are any axis units missing from the OOB to be honest . I would very much value you letting me have your comments on the scn regards Michael RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - FLG - 10-23-2007 Sgt Fury did a re-work of the main campaign. He removed some of the forward VP's and beefed up the axis player somewhat and changed the Victory conditions to 50000 for a Russian Major Victory (iirc). I played the stock main campaign as Russians against a compotent human opponent and achieved a major victory in only 20 turns, or so. I don't know how well balanced Fury's version is but it has to be better than the stock version. If I ever find time I would like to test Fury's version. RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - cavalry corps - 10-23-2007 That scn is not in the data base Glad you and he agreed with me . Do not waste your time on this scn BUT look at SGT F version or minecoming up RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Anyone? - Bushido - 10-23-2007 FLG, major russian victory after 20 turns is NOT possibel at all! Could You give details for this. I want casaulties and objective points. |
