New Scenario - Blocking Action At Lipki - Antoni Chmielowski - 11-28-2007 Is ready to be playtested and rated. It can be obtained from here : https://www.theblitz.club/h2h_productions/scenario_development.php?ladder=1 Its another excellent scenario by Bear. RE: New Scenario - Blocking Action At Lipki - Mad Russian - 11-28-2007 How do you put comments to a scenario? I haven't played it yet but I seen some interesting "issues" with this scenario. I would like to make some comments to the designer and point out a few things. Do I do that here or is there a way to do that in the playtesting area without actually having played the scenario first? Good Hunting. Morning Steve, You *should* playtest the scenario and then complete the feedback report. IF however you believe there are issues with the scenario, please PM me and I will note them, please dont post on the MB as it may affect people`s view of the battle. Thanks RE: New Scenario - Blocking Action At Lipki - Mad Russian - 11-29-2007 Antoni Chmielowski (FGM) Wrote:Mad Russian Wrote:How do you put comments to a scenario? Yes, I think there are major issues with this scenario. Both historically and with playbalance. I'm curious why you don't have a section in the area for playtesting where feedback can be done anytime. Sometimes the errors, or perceived errors, are enough to stop a playtest from taking place. It did this time. Happens all the time at TPG. Good Hunting. Wasn't sure how big you could make a PM, so, I sent one for my observations on the Soviet side and one for the German side of this scenario. I believe after you read the PM's you will see why we have not done a playtest on this scenario. Hopefully you will see where a comments section could be of great benefit for those designers getting feedback on scenarios that haven't been given a full playtest as well. Sometimes you don't need to do a playtest to spot issues. Again, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND any game designer to send their work to The Proving Grounds for playtesting and comment. That's in addition to putting it in the H2H Production section here. That's all TPG exists for is helping scenario designers get feed back and information about anything to do with CM scenario design. Of course that is each designers choice where he puts his work. I would think though the more exposure the better. Good Hunting. MR RE: New Scenario - Blocking Action At Lipki - PoorOldSpike - 11-29-2007 I'd like to do some playtesting at Blitz but can't understand the system.. I'm trying to work through it at the moment myself. My first attempts haven't been all that successful. But seems more the scenario I chose to look at than my misunderstanding anything. Still I have yet to get a scenario here playtested. Maybe next time. Good Hunting. You interested in playtesting one from here? We can pick one and work through their system here if you like. There are several small scenarios that would fit your style of game play. Go to H2H Productions. Move down the page until you see: Scenario Testing Area - All Scenario testing and ratings are done here click on that link. Once you are in the section move down until you see the CM link and click on it. Then just pick one of the CMBB or CMAK scenarios that looks the best to you. Download it and I think we log in as playtesters for that scenario. Not sure about that but when we get that far we can ask if we get lost. Good Hunting. Nah thanks mate, when I posted asking how it worked, Koen said I was a troublemaker and deleted my post, it seems he runs the show there.. So nowadays when I want to do a spot of testing I nip over to TPG..:) RE: New Scenario - Blocking Action At Lipki - Major Catastrophe - 12-03-2007 Don't bother. If it's like his Guderian Attacks or Borisov scenarios, the scenario is worthless. Historically inaccurate and grossly tilted to the Soviet player, despite the fact that the time period portrayed is during the Barbarossa campaign. Bear likes putting the German player at a distinct disadvantage by setting the OOB as mostly less than Veteran status forces. The Guderian Attacks scenario suffers from all the German forces being forced to set up and cross two bridges before being able to deploy for battle. The time required to cross and deploy takes between three to five turns out of a thirteen turn scenario. |
