World ar War x The Blitz - chaindler - 12-23-2008

Hello guys,

I am WaW member, MBT player. I got an idea consisting of a tournament between WaW and The Blitz in MBT. 8 players on each side.
Every battle will get a score for its winner. In the end, group with more points wins.

What do you think ?

Sounds like fun. I bet we'll have more volunteers than available seats.

I suggest to play Yom Kippur battle, 1973, Meeting, 140x120, 7050p, vision 41, AS:xx.

or any other ideas?

RE: World ar War x The Blitz - Walrus - 12-24-2008

Hello Chaps Big Grin
What an interesting turn of events.

Just before we set anything up could I just make a small point.
If 8 guys want to take on another 8 guys in a tourney...that's all good and well. Nothing to do with me and bloody good luck to all concerned.

However, if we are talking about a sanctioned "Blitz" v "WaW" tourney...well, that's something else entirely.
I am not altogether sure if that's going to be possible, in a official capacity...and if not, then this forum is probably not the place for the idea to be discussed.

If you wouldn't mind bearing with me for just a moment, I'll tip this on to the powers that be and get the Form on these types of challenge.
Wouldn't want to cause a ruckus now eh :whis:

Also...I have a feeling there might be more than 8 willing prospects...and perhaps a bit more debate is in order on what type of battle might make a fair and even challenge Big Grin

So...no rush eh

Hi Walrus.

Good point.

An official contest of two Wargaming clubs would be a great show.

Cheers, Klaus

I got your point, if I knew whom to ask, i did it. So if you know the persons in charge, tell me, or tell them, to be sure, this tourney is possible. On our side, i am not the one responsible for WaW, but i am sure, there would not be any trouble - as soon as we comply with both WaW and Blitz tournament systems.

However, i am afraid that 8 commanders is the most we can offer in MBT.

So i am waitng for more info from the Blitz:)

In the meantime, happy Chritmas

In advance is maybe good to say, that all participants in this tourney must be registered both here and at WaW. (Which is actually just formal act)

RE: World ar War x The Blitz - Weasel - 12-24-2008

There is no way to report these inter-club games on the blitz ladder FYI. If players wish to do so they can compete no problem, but the game cannot be reported on our ladder system when one player is from another club. If both players belong to the SP ladder, then they can report the game as per normal.
