stupid question - majog - 09-04-2009 OK so I have not checked in very often lately but definitely noticed some changes and interesting posts. My question is that in posts many members avatar now has the rank of captain even though they are not. RE: stupid question - Montana Grizz - 09-05-2009 You have two separate ranks: One is based upon the number of posts you have in the forum area and one is based upon the number of points you have accumulated during actual H2H gaming experience. The gaming experience points can be modified by bonus points for various reasons such as winning a tournament or testing scenario's and others. When you display your member page, you will see your rank in terms of points scored during actual gaming. The points you accumulate toward promotion in this area have nothing to do with your win/loss record. 6 points scored per game for 10 major losses is 60 points or 20 points scored for three separate wins is still 60 points. If you play enough games, you will eventually be promoted despite your win/loss record. If you want a look at the top ELO rankings or the top win/loss percentages, these items are available on the site. But, those of us that are never going to see our names in the aforementioned groups can still be promoted by simply playing enough games. I'm afraid I'm going to get to Warrant Officer soon and it's a long way from that to Captain.
