World of Tanks - wigam - 11-24-2010 Howdy Has any one come across this yet ? I was in the computer shop today getting some bits for my new graphics card and mentioned the games I currently play (SP and CM) when the IT geek said "you should play...." He described it briefly and I had my interest perked enough to go home and look at it. I saw the screen shots and though cool, but look like any other game. I then watched the video and I was hooked and registered and downloaded the game straight away. Its only in beta form at the moment but it is free....free. Its a team based tank combat game. Its in WWII and your team has 3 rounds to pulverize the other team. Heres the video: Its some game play from another guy. But you get the picture. World of Tanks Video RE: World of Tanks - Iwo Jim - 11-25-2010 Great find Marcus, I downloaded the client, still waiting on a password RE: World of Tanks - wigam - 11-25-2010 awesome news Jim. RE: World of Tanks - Epoletov [SPR]. - 11-26-2010 I played this game. It is made in Belorussia at very high level. It is fascinating, but there it is not necessary to search historical similarities. It is an arcade, instead of a simulator. As well as all MMORG - it can deprive with you a dream, work, family. :coffee: RE: World of Tanks - Ratel - 11-26-2010 Yep, I've seen it being advertised somewhere online a month or two ago. Haven't d/loaded yet. Too busy with other games at the moment. It sounds very similar to a game called Navyfields, which is also free. I played that for a while. Was fun but isn't something that can keep me interested for more than a few months. If you haven't tried Navyfields, give it a go. RE: World of Tanks - wigam - 11-26-2010 Its Call of Duty but in a Tank, buts fine with me. I got my first kills today. So addictive, upgrading tanks. I will make it to my beloved Tiger one day. Any one up for a Blitz team ?? RE: World of Tanks - Ratel - 11-26-2010 (11-26-2010, 04:41 PM)wigam Wrote: Its Call of Duty but in a Tank, buts fine with me. Depends on what times you want to play. Friday or Sunday evenings at around 21:00 (GMT +1 time) is the only times I can try to do it, but no guarantees. I'm up for that, I'm at GMT -5:00 been plying haven't got my frist kill yet made through a few games without getting killed which is an accomplishment for me RE: World of Tanks - Outlaw Josey Wales - 11-27-2010 I tried it last night. I have to say I am very, very good..........at blowing up! It has it's moments but wish it was more fun than not. I finally did get some hits and kills. It would be nice if they had arenas like Aces High where when you die, you can spawn back into the fight for several bases and have it set for timeline themes where only tanks that were in service at that time could be used. Somevody that has been there a long time could have a Tiger and others starting out with the first light tanks won't stand a chance. But I will get back in there after I get my turns done. After all, right now it is free! Don't know if I would pay for it, but will play as long as it is free. And if you are looking to have a Blitz team, I'll try and do my best. RE: World of Tanks - wigam - 11-27-2010 Wigam and Outlaw Josey Wales just entered into a battle of iron and shells. I was on the other side and ended up losing my Little PZ 35 to shells from his team. :( |
