Hi Checkmate King 2 Kharkov '42 is the game. I know the scenario was edit by Volcano Man and his suggested optional rules are use. I was wondering if there were any changes besides the rules. RE: 15 Charge to Chuguev scenario - Compass Rose - 03-05-2011 Open up your K42 game folder and if you cut and pasted everything from the Volcano Man Zip file you'll find a .doc called Kharkov42 Alternate Campaign changes.doc and that will list what information you are looking for. RE: 15 Charge to Chuguev scenario - Volcano Man - 03-05-2011 Mainly unit values and PDT changes are different; it is just a matter of taste. For those that like the _Alt unit values, those scenarios are retrofitted with them to keep things consistent. Other than that, it is up to you. Neither is better or worse than the other. The only real differences are usually to the campaign scenarios (Normandy 44, Tobruk 41, Bulge 44, Kursk 43, Korsun 44, Market Garden 44, are the only campaigns that come to mind as having major changes in the _Alt campaigns, which the version history outlines and which are campaigns that have been played many times over the years and have been modified from feedback from this community) and any scenario modified/approved by the H2H section here. RE: 15 Charge to Chuguev scenario - Mr Grumpy - 03-05-2011 I actually had an idea to produce a list of Ed's scenarios that differ from the stock versions in more ways than just his values and PDT changes driven by player feedback. Obviously his scenarios that have been through the H2H testing area fall into this category and as he says many of the CG's have been altered by player feedback, but we don't have a list at the moment. RE: 15 Charge to Chuguev scenario - Volcano Man - 03-06-2011 Well, I have to say: The H2H adjusted and even the campaigns may be heavily adjusted, but I want to make it clear that they are NOT "my" scenarios. The original scenario designer created them, I simply edited them with unit values and, PDT movement values, and in some cases, other minor tweaks. I cringe every time I hear/see it mentioned that the _Alt scenarios are "mine", they are a product of the entire community and the original designer's property more than anything. :soap: Which scenarios are truly mine? Jihad 2004, France '14 (all), Korea '85 (most), Compass '40 addon (and Steel God's).
