Minsk 44 Campaign Question - jonnymacbrown - 05-16-2015 I've been reading some of the comments about this campaign and the consensus seems to be it's difficult to play, "boring" and that the Reds can win without taking Minsk. Have any scenarios been introduced that solve some of these problems? jonny RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Question - Fhil - 05-16-2015 Well, I´m involved in a team game (originally 8 players with 4 on both sides, not it´s 6) and I must say it´s anything but boring, I think we´re all enjoying this campaign very much, that game goes over two years now if I´m right, and it´s not decided yet, plenty of fun still in front of us. It´s a pretty big campaign with plenty of units, many different sectors, a lot of river crossings, ´kessels´, fortress cities, partisans etc.. If you ask me, I think it´s a very good one! RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Question - Fhil - 05-16-2015 Forgot to mention, we´re playing a Revised version by Michael Smith V3.0 with no Fixed units. Just downloaded it. I notice that the 20th Pz being held in reserve near Bobruysk is badly shot up (c. 25% strength) in Smith's version and at full strength in the stock scenario. Too bad about that for the Germans; that was a nice little reserve, now it's garbage. jonny RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Question - Fhil - 05-17-2015 (05-17-2015, 12:58 PM)jonnymacbrown Wrote:(05-16-2015, 09:12 PM)Fhil Wrote: Forgot to mention, we´re playing a Revised version by Michael Smith V3.0 with no Fixed units. Well, in our team game, I´m the Axis commander of the AOK.9, basically fighting in this Bobruysk sector. I do remember that if you won´t move it right from the beginning, it will go up with it´s force, especially panzers. Yes, I saw that and figured the German would need to let those fellows sit there and let the enemy come to them. How is this game going? Where are you time-wise? jonny RE: Minsk 44 Campaign Question - Fhil - 06-19-2015 (06-18-2015, 10:20 PM)jonnymacbrown Wrote:(05-16-2015, 09:12 PM)Fhil Wrote: Forgot to mention, we´re playing a Revised version by Michael Smith V3.0 with no Fixed units. Just checked. It´s Russian turn 72...out of 160 that means roughly a half of the game.
