Thats one reason why the WGerman active units got a B is because their fighting for there homes and sometimes even near them. As in the French or even Dutch and Belgians, its not that more of them couldnt have been a B but they wernt fighting on their own soil and thus got no Morale bonus in my opinion. Same can be said for WP minors, alot of Cs and Ds but they got a negative morale movement on my part, it doesnt mean they didnt have some very good soliders it just means would they have had that much will to fight not on their own soil. Aaron RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.4 - Midge - 09-23-2009 From someone who exercised with the Germans in the 80's...................even though they often looked like a bag of shite with their long hair and chilled out attitude, there was always an air of cold efficiency about them. I for one would probably rate some of their regular units as good as the Brits and Americans wether they be A or B class. The Dutch had 14 months conscription, 16 for NCO's (folllowed by 4-6 months 'short leave' in which the unit was recallable within 24 hours by the minister of defence without the need for parliamentary consent). Four months of basic training (school period) followed by ten months of active duty, of which the first three were needed for further training (functioning as a platoon, company, battalion). Are you sure they were Germans? :smoke: RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.4 - Aaron - 09-24-2009 What are you tryin to say Hans, they were Dutch.......... Aaron RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.4 - Midge - 09-24-2009 Hans Boersma Wrote:Midge Wrote:...even though they often looked like a bag of shite with their long hair and chilled out attitude... I think I could tell the difference.........................The Germans had swastikas on their socks and the Dutch all had their fingers in Dykes or was that Dikes and hair down to their arses ! RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.4 - Ostland [SPR] - 09-24-2009 The USSR had 24 months conscription. Fleet 36 months. Training very good. Morale "A"...! RE: Bolt out of the Blue 4.4 - JDR Dragoon - 09-24-2009 Ostland [SPR Wrote:] It was (is?) normal for soviet conscripts to spend considerable parts of their conscription periods doing manual labor on behalf of the state. You don´t get to be "A" quality by running around Belarus felling trees or by plucking potatoes on a Kholkhoz....
