RE: ATG Effectiveness - CptCav - 09-21-2006 Al, The M10 carried a 3" gun as well. So, as far as guns were concerned, the towed battalions used the same gun as the M10 equiped SP tank destroyer battalions. The M18 (first deployed in July 1944) used a 76mm gun and the M36 (first deployed in October 1944) used a 90mm gun.
