Here in the nation's capital, the BS coming from the guvmint is usually so bad that we say "We've only got a little water in our poop."

n.b. I say that without regard to which party happens to control guvmint at any one time.

It is surprisingly offending when people forget Iceland is a part of Europe.:)
But hey at least you knew we existed I thank you for that.Big Grin

RE: Food for Thought - Jobu88 - 02-19-2007

That's interesting because I don't usually think of Iceland as part of Europe. Iceland and Greenland and Jan Mayen all seem sort of independent of any continental affiliation.

Is Iceland in the EU?

RE: Food for Thought - Hawk555 - 02-20-2007

no we are not in the EU but we have are members of the European Economic Area.
One of the big debates in Althingi(icelandic parliament) is wether we should become full members.
If you search for europe on the internet and look for pictures you can clearly see Iceland in the upper right corner, ergo we are european Big Grin

Well, that settles it - Iceland wins the 'Most Amusingly Named Legislative Body' Award.

I'll give Iceland my vote for hotties. Happy memories of Keflavik. ;) Don't remember drinking a whole lot of water, though.
