I say that without regard to which party happens to control guvmint at any one time. Iceland and Greenland and Jan Mayen all seem sort of independent of any continental affiliation. Is Iceland in the EU? One of the big debates in Althingi(icelandic parliament) is wether we should become full members. If you search for europe on the internet and look for pictures you can clearly see Iceland in the upper right corner, ergo we are european
