RE: Artillery - McIvan - 06-27-2008 I think you'll find that the higher quality of spotter results in a slightly narrower impact pattern....about the same length, but not as wide. This can actually be a bit annoying when you're trying to hit an area target, but is better when trying to hit a particular point (which is not really what off-map arty is for, but sometimes you need to use it that way regardless). Another thing to note is that Russian arty (iirc) has a much greater area of impact than arty from other nations....it spreads quite a bit more.
