RE: SAM effectiveness - Vesku - 04-10-2007 LOL you have excellent opinions about ... well, let's just say that they have nothing to do with SAMs. RE: SAM effectiveness - Walrus - 04-11-2007 That'd be Seriously Augmented Mammaries wouldn't it? ;) I have heard they are very effective in combat, especially when firing from an exposed position with good LOS. Keep your eyes on the road Grummi! He he RE: SAM effectiveness - Grumbler - 04-11-2007 Actually, my new bike almost rides itself. I haven't hit the 1,000 mile mark yet and if it doesn't stop raining here, I'll trade it in on an ark before I can. I still say the Radar AAA has a major bug in it. If it can fire at a landed helio, then why can't it fire at a Tank, truck, jeep, or anything else on the ground? Land a helio in the same hex and see which one gets shot at. I consider radar AAA to be gaming the system, since it is taking advantage of an obvious logic flaw. Besides, Radar won't pick up a ground level target that isn't moving from a ground site. Sometimes you can pick up a dense target by filtering out the normal ground clutter, since a tree, hill, and chicken coop and have sligthly different returns. |
