RE: My Opponents - Tiger 88 - 12-21-2007 Believe this or not - but I actually met the "Duke" when I was young, very young - I remember him picking me up and holding me - and said, "Hey there little fella" - no BS!! I met him at the airport...I of course had my little chaps and cowboy boots on...I still have the mans autograph! Very Cool - something I will remember the rest of my life. My father is a musician and he and his band played for JW's 50th birthday party...do you remember the movie - The Wildcats - filmed outside of Casper, Wyoming....his cake was a huge oil tower about 6ft high... He was the best!! RE: My Opponents - Jim von Krieg - 12-21-2007 We're not worthy... we're not worthy... There are very few celebrities in this world I care about... John Wayne is the exception... I love Westerns... and I love the Duke... Over the years, I've seen the Wildcats many times... Oilmen... bringing home the oil... I've spent more time than I can recall watching his movies over the years... that is an interesting bit of trivia about your father playing at his brithday party... We just never know what road others around us have traveled until some stray comment sparks a conversation... Sweet... Jim vK |
