RE: Kubelwagen Transport Capability - Larry Reese - 03-25-2010 Excellent - 71 kubels for around 225 men, so about an average of 3 men per kubel (assuming some in the trucks and on the cycles, and not loading "fractional men" in the kubels). At six vehicles per "kubel platoon" what would that be? about 12 platoons of kubels using the conventional max of six vehicles in a platoon. Wouldn't that require either an enlarged vehicle kubel unit (say 12 or so) or a reduced strength infantry platoon to man each six vehicle platoon? I haven't looked at it in the org charts, but I'm really glad to know it's being added in (or is already there); just curious how it is being done. LR |
