RE: Searchlights in SAW - TheBigRedOne - 04-02-2014 This is interesting. The load for this is 'light' but it doesn't have an illumination tag on it, giving it unlimited usage. It turns out that the Searchlight in SAW was the only one in any of the games that had the illumination flag on it, requiring it to have an illumination allowance. I removed it, and added back the smoke to that scenario because the disabled T-62 has a smoke mortar. RE: Searchlights in SAW - Jeff Conner - 04-02-2014 I found this interesting too. I tried and tried to get searchlights to work properly in Falklands and had to give them an illumination flag to get anywhere. The only thing I can think of is that this was changed in one of the later builds (Falklands started off as Advance of the Reich) and I never realized it. I still think the night visibility rules need a lot of work, especially for a modern title where they are so important, but this is a bit of an improvement. |
