I've never played a game with so many routs, as I said. When I look at both sides' strength it would seem like that attacking approach should be possible, with care. The Austrians have superior cavalry, and more of it, I think. Much of the French cavalry is D quality and not much more useful than Cossacks, I feel. But the line troops are fairly balanced between the sides. It is always hard to work out whether what is happening happens because I'm no good, or because of something in the set up...An impression of relentless local superiority is (presumably) exactly what a good commander will force on a less able one... |
