The technical part is not that hard if you have decent graphics program (using Photoshop, basically overkill). Maybe I can write up some simple tutorial. Thanks Jison, I’ll create some unified ZIP files for the MC games and make them available for download. RE: Modern Campaigns - feeler - Simulacra53 - 03-23-2019 Uploaded unified ZIP files that contain a complete MOD to be installed over the Volcano Mods. Middle East '67 https://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.MiddleEast_Revisisted_v1.0.zip Fulda Gap '85 https://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.Fulda_Revisited_v1.0.zip Korea '85 https://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.Korea_Revisited_v1.0.zip North German Plain '85 https://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.NGP_Revisited_v1.0.zip Danube Front '85 https://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.Danube_Revisited_v1.0.zip Use JSGME for a care free install and roll back if you don't like the results!!! Happy Wargaming! RE: Modern Campaigns - feeler - wiggum - 04-27-2019 @Simulacra53 Great work, especially with the 100% view ! I created a mod for East Prussia '14 with some of your files, hope thats ok: https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=72515 RE: Modern Campaigns - feeler - KAreil - 04-27-2019 Looks good but personally I can't stand the imprinted hex outlines in the 100% view. Any chance to release a version without them? That was my only gripe the VolcanoMans map mods. I'm looking for something linke Philipes MODs for the FWWC games: https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=71986 RE: Modern Campaigns - feeler - Simulacra53 - 04-27-2019 (04-27-2019, 06:17 PM)wiggum Wrote: @Simulacra53 Hi Wiggum, glad you find these files of use. I claim no originality, it is all mix and match from Jison’s various mods. The limited “original” work was filling in some minor gaps. Any chance to release a version without them? Yeah, I understand what you mean. It would not be complicated, but as I personally prefer the grid pattern. In the end it is always a matter of taste. To be honest I actually prefer Jison’s earlier terrain files, which have a more random pattern, but opted to use the later diagonal type to correspond with the Gold standard mods. RE: Modern Campaigns - MapMod revisited - Simulacra53 - 05-18-2019 Mixed an alternative ME67 revisited Jison MapMod based on his excellent new Tunisia Gold MapMod. Original - green style Alternative - desert style Middle East '67 - Desert http://rhorta.home.xs4all.nl/TEMP/JST/MapMod.MC.MiddleEast_Desert_Revisisted_v1.0.zip Regards these as place holders until Jison updates his MC MapMods. All original Jison MapMod Gold files can be found here: http://mapmod.se RE: Modern Campaigns - MapMod revisited - All_American - 05-19-2019 Excellent work, thanks for sharing it. Fulda Gap 85' now looks a lot prettier for me. Any chance to release a version without them? Ok Although I am not a fan of the Hex-less look, if there is enough interest I can do a version without. On Fulda Gap, from left to right, no hex terrain, in game hex on, Jison Mapmod type terrain in game hex off. I prefer the original Jison look. But with enough traction it would be worth the time. |
