I don't recall the discussions during play testing, but I do believe it came up. As it was quite awhile ago, I don't recall for sure. It may have been a near impossible fix, is what is stuck in my head - I didn't bring that up as you only asked, as you emphasized  a second time, that you were just looking for if people had seen these things.If I get a chance, I will try to find more about the variable objectives discussion, if you now desire that. Or maybe leave it for David to comment on.
