A little scientific notation and knowing the proper scale to use IIRC. RE: New discussion:What was your first computer? - Grumbler - 01-27-2007 I used to, but havn't used one in quite a while. Late 60's early 70's or so. Maybe longer. I have a drawer full of calculators without batteries. Do you remember the round slide rules the fly boys used to carry? RE: New discussion:What was your first computer? - Havoc - 01-27-2007 Got hooked by a friend's Atari with dual 5 1/4 drives. First game was Red Storm Rising. About six months later I went out and bought a ASI with a whopping 12mghz clock speed and a 20mb HD! Started playing Reach for the Stars and Napoleon's Battles (don't remember who made it, but it was b/w and pretty fun). RE: New discussion:What was your first computer? - General SP - 01-28-2007 I thought Grumbers first computer would have been an abacus?:kill: RE: New discussion: What was your first computer? - RedDevil - 01-28-2007 Wigam is still on his 1st one.. until now... he just gave it the paper clip in the processor termination.. :whis: RE: New discussion: What was your first computer? - Grumbler - 01-28-2007 General SP Wrote:I thought Grumbers first computer would have been an abacus?:kill: One of the wires the little beady thingies slide on rusted away.
