RE: Germans ONLY "Little Saturn" No Russians Pls - Ratzki - 06-01-2009

Thanks for the password. I find myself waiting to hear what everyone has to say about their games as they move along. Maybe you guys could do a sort of DAR in that section with a note for all enemy players to keep out. Nothing fancy, but like Cargol stated, it might draw some more interest. Either that or make some new threads here with the '***RUSSIANS STAY OUT**" warning. I don't know, whatever you guys want, I do not want to burden any players with more stuff to do.

Here is the final battle. It is the North Battle. The Russian opposition will be willow. The setup with this map was a little tougher then the other two. Be careful in your setup.

Cargol will fight the North Battle.
Ratzki I ll send u the password in pm.
Thanks for putting all this together and for the great maps provided.
PS i ll post every 5 or so turns at this thread a kind of battle report.

Ratzki one more question,
the battle will be decided by points as a normal CM game?

RE: Germans ONLY "Little Saturn" No Russians Pls - Ratzki - 06-01-2009

No the battle will either time out or one side or the other will disengage or surrender. I have placed flags around the map is show the main points that will have to be taken in order to gain control of an area. So at the end of the battle I will look at what has happened, and draw the front lines between flags ect. This way I will be able to see who is in supply, and how much that I will have to shift the map for the next battle when it takes place. As for control of the Town, it will be determined by the total points value of all the flags in the town that each side holds. The side holding 75% or more of the total points in flags will control the town. Same for the airstrip. Now as you can see some areas are worth more flags then are others so it will be up to each side to decide what flags they deem to be worth going for.
Hope this helps, I will be giving a total flag count for the town and airstrip in the next few days. I just want both sides to not get too hung up on tech stuff at the moment, and work on their own objectives as they see fit. Hope this helps a little.

willow's email address is [email protected]
just in case you do not have it, he has not received a turn yet. Not that I am pushing anyone yet, but has everyone gotten the first turns out to the Russian players?

RE: Germans ONLY "Little Saturn" No Russians Pls - Ratzki - 06-03-2009

I know that I touched on this before but there is more to it then the little bit that I have mentioned, here goes.
If either side wants to disengage with the enemy during a battle, they will have to announce it to the other player, then 5 turns later, both sides will hit the cease fire button. There will be some hard decisions to be made because of this decision and I will have to take a look at the last couple turns from both sides in order to help with the decision, but terrain will be lost, heavy equipment might be left behind, to name a few. Again just letting you all know.

Set up has been sent to Willow.
