Definition of "FAO"? - Liebchen - 08-22-2006

I gather that it is like a page or call, but what does it mean, literally?

It actually means 'For Attention Of' hence FAO RedDevil is for the attention of RedDevil.

I have always used it in the "For all oponents" context.

The BootieMeister is right !.

It does mean For The Attention Of ! - so everyone knows the message is aimed at a specific person or group.

RE: Definition of "FAO"? - Kelen - 08-24-2006

Yep, FAO is 'For Attention Of'. It's used either to target one particular player, such as;

'FAO Kelen' - normally used when you can't get in touch with them via e-mail, or you haven't received turns for a while.

Or to notify all the opponents of a particular palyer, such as;

'FAO opponents of Kelen' - normally to let them know you are going to be off-line for a while.
