BGG Scenario Differences - Metbull - 11-05-2006 Does anybody know what the differences between the "historical" and "alternative" scenarios are for the Talonsoft BGG game? I believe the alternative scenarios came with the 1.34 upgrade but I cannot find any documentation to tell me what the difference is between the historical whole battle of Gettysburg and the alternative whole battle of Gettysburg. Any info would be appreciated. Regards, Roger (Metbull) RE: BGG Scenario Differences - Thunder - 11-05-2006 Hi Roger, It might be different by sceanrio, I'm not sure because I have not checked all the scenarios but for instance on scenario 2a and 2h Out of the Mist the difference is the chance of reinforcements arriving. In scenario 2h (the historical) the reinforcements have a 100% change of arrivng at the stated time. This makes total sense since that is when they arrived on the real battlefied. In sceanrio 2a (the alternative) the reinforcements have a 30% chance of arriving at the stated time. This will greatly affect the way the battle plays out as you cannot count on those new troops for sure. I think the alternative battles are more of a challenge since neither side can be sure of what's going to happen and thus it simulates the real battlefield in a closer to real life situation. The other great advantage to the alternatives is that it could take a scenario that is lopsided in one sides favor and now make that scenario a toss up. I hope this helps and if there is anything else I can do just let me know. Thanks Thunder Ladder Custodian RE: BGG Scenario Differences - Metbull - 11-13-2006 Thanks Thunder. That helps.
