reputations - Huib Versloot - 12-13-2006

Does anyone know how can you see who is giving you negative reputations in your user CP?
I have one in the form of a question but can't answer since I don't know who gave it.
I must say that I find the whole reputation thing a very questionable feature. Is it not possible to disable it in your user CP?
I'm not really waiting for ignorant individuals giving senseless negative comments on areas where I consider myself well informed. Or is this just a risk you take when you decide to post in a thread that you end up with idiotic remarks in your user CP?

Thanks
Huib

Hi Huib
Did not even know there was a reputations category. Where do you find that one ? And what does it mean ?

I'm still trying to imagine a situation where it would be proper to give you a negative mark. I can't think of one. It is people like you that are the life blood of this club. I greatly appreciate all you do. Please, keep up the good work.

Cheers,

Nort

Huib,

I would not worry about it at all. Your reputation for historical knowledge and scenario design is well known in the club.

I agree with the others who stated that you should go to admins if you feel you are the target of some abuse!

Thanx!

Hawk

If they don't have the guts to sign it.......probably not really worth fretting over it :-)

Very true
I was just hoping I could tick a box somewhere and disable it. Apparently that is not possible and I just have to live with it. Not a big deal.
Btw it has never happened on this ladder, only on the PZC ladder when I "dared" to question the Market Garden map source HPS used for the MG44 game. Unlike CS, maps can't be edited manually in HPS PZC series so my remarks were more than valid.

Well that make sense then, I mean how could you question maps of Holland? :whis:

Its not like you live in Holland, been to the battlefields, design maps or anything!

Wait...... nevermind you do live in Holland, do design maps and have been to the battlefields! Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

Again don't worry!!!

Thanx!

Huib,

I'll second what McIvan said. If it looks like a regular effort to neg rep you by a single person, contact the Ladder Custodian or Steel God directly and they will deal with it. I was a custodian when the new board got implemented and I think a few warnings were sent out at the time.

If it was a one-off comment, it probably isn't worth it, though. If you wanted to answer the question they neg repper asked you could probably either get the name from a Custodian or at least have them pass a message along to the guy.

Mike
