spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Kpt Lothar - 12-29-2006 Howdy, i downloaded these games (so download versions). using windowed (800x600 max) and directx they work ok, but when i change to fullscreen they run like with a speed of turtle :hissy::hissy:. Im using athlon 900mhz with 1gb ram onboard. i checked the prefered requirments for mentioned games and i got more than needed. so what the heck? what is battle FX on/off?? i think that might be problem with delays miliseconds or animation details or battle fx. how come this kind of game runs slowly? spwaw runs like thunder, but sure gfx are worse. RE: spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Stonefire - 12-29-2006 Hi I have the same problem. winmbt and winww2 will only run smoothly using the windowed version I worked around it the most simple way (I am too stupid to fiddle with the grafic setup).:whis: Before running the windowed version, I just change the resolution on my monitor to 800X600 - then the game runs smoothly in a window who fills the full screen ;) RE: spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Greybeard - 12-30-2006 Hello Kpt Lothar, I've been playing WW2 and MBT on a 500mhz AMD.. at least I was until ny old warhorse finally died.. Now I have a 1.7ghz AMD with 64mb video card.. the 500mhz setting ran the game so fast that I could barely keep up.. Go to your preference options and cut the delay values in half. This should speed up the game greatly.. -Greybeard PS - my 7yr old Daughter 'Sommer' wishes to say 'hello' :) RE: spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Kpt Lothar - 12-30-2006 ok. it runs smooth. ps. i do accept greetings from 7yr old wargamer. RE:spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Stonefire - 12-30-2006 RE: spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - Greybeard - 12-31-2006 Hello Jesper, Thanks - I'll tell her, she'll wnat me to say 'hello' to you also.. Sommer is her given name, not a nickname.. we named her that because her birth happened during a difficult time in our Family, and her arrival was a joy to all..she still is a glow like warm sunshine.. Graybeard RE: spww2/spbmt - wicked performance - retired from gaming - 12-31-2006 Steve, I think you owe me a turn of our MBT game ? Or you dont have time for gaming ? Warm hello from Poland from 7 year old Dominika to 7 year old Sommer down there in the wrong side of the planet :) BTW Dominika asks for Sommer's photo, if possible. |
