More on spotted units - Montana Grizz - 01-26-2007 If I were to fire a round and destroy an opponents unit who's position allowed it and it alone to spot several of my units, would my previously spotted units then disappear from my opponents here-to-fore view? I am trying to determine the best and most expedient method of moving and hiding my units without having to highlight each of my opponents units, then go to the field glasses to see if they might be able to see me! Thank you, Pat RE: More on spotted units - Hawk Kriegsman - 01-26-2007 Montana Grizz Wrote:If I were to fire a round and destroy an opponents unit who's position allowed it and it alone to spot several of my units, would my previously spotted units then disappear from my opponents here-to-fore view? Yes they would. Thanx! Hawk RE: More on spotted units - Nort - 01-26-2007 But not until the following turn. By way of example ... If I have an AT gun overlooking a road. You move a tank into my AT gun's LOS. I see your tank and op fire at you (hey, this is hypothetical ;) ), you will now likely see my AT gun. Your tank fires and eliminates my AT gun. For the remainder of that turn, I will be allowed to see all hexes that my AT gun would have been able to see, had that gun still been alive. Therefore, even though my AT gun is no longer around, when you move your entire column up the road, I will see all of the action. The next turn, however, I will have no LOS onto that road, and you can move undetected. It is up to you to decide if speed or secrecy is more important. |
