Gamey? - Skeld (FGM) - 02-01-2007 From what I have read on this and other forums there are certain tactics used by some that others believe are "gamey". This usually follows with "Hey thats not gamey! I do that all the time! Is there some things that as a noob to the HtH PBEM world should know about "gaminess"? Some obvious things that you should avoid doing? I realize this is a highly subjective subject or is it? RE: Gamey? - Herr Schacht - 02-01-2007 I think a good player is prepared for anything that the opponent may try, therefore not subject to 'gamey' tactics. That said, I am interested in what people believe to be 'gamey'. RE: Gamey? - Ratzki - 02-01-2007 I don't know about gamey, but scouting with conscript ATR teams always makes me steam a bit. That's not gamey at all, i've never done that. but that sounds like good allocation of resources. the damn thing are useless anyways and with conscript manning them. they make great scouts. "I good scout is a dead scout" Walkure:smg: RE: Gamey? - Fullhouse - 02-01-2007 This will be contreversial but I consider last turn flag rushes by units that would die if the game were to last one turn longer extremely gamey. Not sure I would continue said game if it did! Easily solved by only agreeing to or playing variable turn end matches. Cheers! Not really authorative, but amusing reading. Not sure where I saw it though. Here it is: http://home.arcor.de/rehbold/Gamey_tactics.htm |
