EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - Rupert - 02-11-2007 Hoping someone may know the cause and fix for the "Error Reading Scenario File" problem I'm currently facing. Using EFII GOLD, I have encountered this error when trying to start the following scenarios. 1) Last Tank Battle. 2) Duna Ridge. 3) Impending Doom. In the case of 1 & 2, scenario loaded after the error but no map or units. With 3, again scenario loaded after the error, this time the map did appear but alas no units. Is this a map conversion or expansion disk issue? Thanks in advance. Thomas RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - RedDevil - 02-11-2007 Looks like you're loading custom made scenarios from version 1.02 with the version 1.03 game. Did you install the expansion program for 1.03 correctly? RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - keif149 - 02-12-2007 RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - Rupert - 02-12-2007 I thought the error may be due to playing a scenario from an expansion disk. I'm Just playing using EFII Gold...version 1.03. Von Earlmann has suggested (in my duplicated post) the problem lies with the scenario's being created in version 1.02 and to convert the maps to solve the issue. Unfortunately the details for doing this seem to have disappeared from the Important threads section:( RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - keif149 - 02-12-2007 Greetings Rupert! The map conversion instructions are under Training Ground section at top of page, then under techno faq-Campaign Series. keif. RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - Rupert - 02-12-2007 Thanks Keif, much appreciated!! I'll see if this solves the problem. With Rgds Thomas RE: EFII "Error Reading Scenario File"?? - keif149 - 02-12-2007 Also, there was a old post about open the org file, then save it, then open the map file and save it, then open scenario file and save it. it has to be in that order. I just tried it with a v1.02 scenario and it even removed the hederow bug. Just need to check if the locations are there. |
