Turning tanks - PoorOldSpike - 03-30-2007 RE: Turning tanks - Copper - 03-30-2007 For anyone who hasn't seen POS's posts on various other forums across the net this guy has some cracking work in his portfolio and Im sure you will all benefit greatly from the information provided within. Thanks for sharing POS. RE: Turning tanks - Ratzki - 03-30-2007 I agree that has to be the quickest way to turn a tank 180 deg., but in hostile situations I think it would be better to add a couple more waypoints and reverse out and do 1/2 the rotation in "REVERSE" move, with the other 1/2 in "FAST" move waypoints as you showed above but making more of a sideways "Y" shape. RE: Turning tanks - PoorOldSpike - 03-30-2007 Roger that Ratzki, Adapt Improvise and Overcome (US Marines) RE: Turning tanks - Copper - 03-30-2007 Adapt, Improvise, Get slaughtered for being bleeding stupid. (Bootie) RE: Turning tanks - PoorOldSpike - 07-01-2008 RE: Turning tanks - Maakt Droog - 07-01-2008 Interesting to note that pivoting on the road is slightly faster than the turning maneuver in the open (above at post #1). RE: Turning tanks - Ratzki - 07-01-2008 I hate the way that pivoting is modelled in the game. I try to avoid it at all costs, would much rather use reverse with a covered arc then rely on getting spun around in a timely manner. RE: Turning tanks - kineas - 07-01-2008 valuable info, thanks POS RE: Turning tanks - wigam - 07-01-2008 Thanks POS. :) Yur work is excellent. |
