Altering visibility factor mid-game - Spud - 04-27-2007 Gentlemen, Am hoping someone can help me with in regards altering the visibility factor mid-game. I'm playing a mammoth scenario about the invasion of Malta against my computer and have altered the visibility factor to represent fog on first few turns ... needless to say, I'd like to up the visibilty to represent lifting of fog. The factor at present is set at 3 and I'd like to make it at least a 10 for some turns, then decrease it to 1 to represent night turns and so on throughout the game to show night, day fare and aweful weather conditions ... I know this has been discussed many time before and I hate to sound like a bore ... Sorry. Spud RE: Altering visibility factor mid-game - Huib Versloot - 04-28-2007 It works like this: Dynamic Visibilty instructions for Westfront scenario Hell's Corner: Vanguard After the Axis player has finished playing turn 10 (by pressing the end turn button). He should open the .bte file with Notepad Two lines beneath the scenario title is this line with the following digits: 0 0 0 0 12 This should be changed to 0 0 0 0 1. The last digit in this line is visibility. So as the first night comes visibility changes from 12 to one. After the Axis player has finished turn 15 the same line should be changed back to 0 0 0 0 12 as dawn breaks on 8th June. After the Axis player has finished turn 25 again 0 0 0 0 1 as the second night falls. After the Axis player has finished turn 30 change the line into 0 0 0 0 12 for 9th June. The German player should be aware of the sudden visibility increase at the end of turns 15 and 25 especially with regard to the placement of vulnerable units such as transported infantry or artillery. Both players should keep the visibility changes in mind when plotting artillery and airstrikes.
