What causes this? - K K Rossokolski - 05-07-2007 RE: What causes this? - Nort - 05-07-2007 A guess ... Your opponent's password was left blank. RE: What causes this? - Valor - 05-07-2007 That may be the reason. The problem is that in Campaign Series when you load PBEM battle, the program asks you for a password so you don't know which turn it is, you have to assume that it's your turn. In Battlegroud Series it's solved a bit better as program asks specifically on the particular password for the side is supposed to play. RE: What causes this? - Major Anton - 05-07-2007 Have to agree with Nort, Your opponent's password was left blank. When I first started playing I didn't use a password and it would just start right up without asking you to enter one, after you left it blank the initial time. RE: What causes this? - K K Rossokolski - 05-08-2007 Sens to be the password issue. VMT for all the help Cheers KKR RE: What causes this? - K K Rossokolski - 05-08-2007 That should read "Seems..........." RE: What causes this? - Digger - 05-08-2007 Gents, This will always happen on the first turn of a scenario. In which you move first and your opponent has not yet had a chance to enter their password. When then get the file they have to open it and watch the replay and then enter a password, when they want to end the turn or hit the save button. Obviously it is possible for you to complete your turn and then immediately open the file again and yes you will see your opponents turn, as at that point there is no password locking the file. Hence why you must always set a password I have had this happen to me a few times in Team Games when I have forwarded the completed first turn to my opponents and team mates. Some of my team mates have opened the file, only to see all the enemy units, which can spoil the surprise if playig blind. I have since stopped this practice and always just forward the completed turn to my opponents only. Matt ~Digger RE: What causes this? - Nort - 05-08-2007 Sorry. Could not resist. <g> |
