Infrared - Copper - 07-16-2007 Gents check out the extra equipment on this Panther. RE: Infrared - Pip Roberts - 07-16-2007 GreatThanks Tide. I had read about IR on later German tanks but never seen it until now. CS had 3 types of Panthers --- PzV, Panther F and Panther 11 but they all had similar strengths against Armour and Infantry. I do not know which scenarios featured them and will search the end of war scenarios when I get time. Have any of you run into them? Maybe you know this side, but i think many members are interested by this theme and want to read more about it. Here is the link: http://www.geocities.com/desertfox1891/nightfightingpanthers/nightfightingpanthers.htm RE: Infrared - majog - 07-20-2007 Yes there was a great book out on the Vampir night scope where a German sniper was sent out to take out an important General and civilian trying to broker an end to the war. There was an intelligence leak and a US counter sniper was sent in to take him out. I just can't remember the name of the damn thing. RE: Infrared - Von Luck - 07-22-2007 Amazing info and thanks.Germans were into a lot of new tech long before the Allies but didnt know aboit night sights cool. They did have probably the best optics for Tank killing i know but this is a new one.
