Fubar, What OS are you using? XP/2000 (and I assume Vista, not sute about WinME) have an embedded zip program that works well. AFAIK, it is compatible with WinZip, PkZip, etc. I use it and nhave never got a complaint from an opponent. If you have XP, just right-click the file, move down to "Send To", and then choose "Compressed (zipped) Folder". I had no idea that XP had it's own zip program, all this time messing around with WinZip........DOH! RE: Zip program - Copper - 07-27-2007 I use winzip... does the in built program with windows unzip too? RE: Zip program - Mike Abberton - 07-27-2007 Win XP/2000 will pretty much automatically open any .zip file (Winzip, pkzip, etc.). It will sometimes open .tar and .gz (gzip) files. It will not open .rar files. RE: Zip program - Hedgehog - 07-27-2007 RE: Zip program - General SP - 07-27-2007 |
