CMSF ladder - Phil Davies (FGM) - 08-02-2007

Just a thought but do we need a seprate ladder for this I read somewhere that the scoring wil be the same as for all the other CM games :chin:

RE: CMSF ladder - Fubar - 08-02-2007

I'd say yes as CMSF is an entirely different beast to the older CMx1 games.

cheers

RE: CMSF ladder - Colonel Talvela - 08-02-2007

to answer the question, there is a seperate CMSF ladder already

RE: CMSF ladder - Phil Davies (FGM) - 08-02-2007

Yes I know there is a seperate ladder, what I am asking is do we need one when the scoring is the same, why not just include them on the current ladder ? :)

RE: CMSF ladder - raz_atoth - 08-02-2007

Actually,Phil, the scoring system is not the same.Basically two things influence the number of points each player gets, once a game is reported:the victory level and the Scenario Modifier(SM).Indeed, the victory levels are the same, yet the way the SM is calculated isn't.For CMx1 the SM is based on the total number of points involved.Take a look here:
https://www.theblitz.club/scenarios/sm_info.php#CM
for more details.
For CMx2,this doesn't work, since there points of each unit isn't known,so you can determine a SM based on points.

Ahh I see, I knew there must be a reasonable explanation somewhere .. lol .. thanks for clearing that up :)
