Game Mechanics Question - Nort - 09-07-2007 My game (WF, EF & RS - Matrix Edition) has slowed way down all of a sudden for some unknown reason. Even when I have "fast human player" and "fast computer player" checked, the game is brutally slow now. As late as yesterday, my units zipped around the map. When I play, I have no other applications running. I hit "control-alt-delete" to be sure there is no memory hog running. What could be causing this, and how do I fix it? If the game cannot be returned to the original fast speed, I am afraid I will not have the patience to continue playing. Any and all help is gratefully accepted. RE: Game Mechanics Question - The Rattler - 09-07-2007 I find you have to click (take off) fast human and fast computer then click both back on again to resume fast play. RE: Game Mechanics Question - Huib Versloot - 09-07-2007 Has anything changed in your graphics settings recently? Checking and unchecking fast human player may also help depending on the cause. It was good to see the members responding and helping with newbie or trivial (but worrying) questions which we should do instead of loading the lot on Jason. In due course we will doubtless see Jason's support with upgrades just as the old WF and EF got to 1.05 and 1.03 |
