Please help - CMMOS Mods ? - Jolly Roger - 10-06-2007

Hi folks,

I visited the CM HQ.
The CMMOS Mods seem to be very interesting.
Has anybody installed them ?
Does CMMOS cause version conflicts ?
Can I play pbem with an opponent who uses the
unmodded CMBB 1.3 version ?

Thanks for help, Jolly Roger

The mods just change the way the game looks and sounds to you, it wont affect your compatibility with someone who's running a vanilla install of the game.

Here's a link to a previous thread about this sort of thing...

Thank you, Fubar.

I´m still downloading all the CMMOS mods and read the
CMMOS user manual.
Well, the CMMOS will delete all my wave files too, but where will
I get new sounds from, are they included in the rules set files
or do I have to register at CMmods ?

Regards, Klaus

If your using the McMMM mod manager program from the CMMODS website then when you install any mod, BMP's or WAV files, it backs up the originals then installs the mod. So when you uninstall a particular mod it will reinstall the original files for you.

The CMMOS program is mostly for use with CMBO and CMBB, you can install a CMMOS mod using McMMM as well which is what i tend to do now as i find that program easier to use.

Yes you have to register at the CMMODS website but it's free and easy to do and there are plenty of sound mods available on there.

Happy modding.

cheers

Hi Fubar,

I can´t await to get all these mods running !!!
In my opinion CM is one of the best games ever
and deserves the best available graphic.

I guess I´ll have a lot of questions.

Thanks !

Hi Fubar,

I´ve started downloading the files from CMmods and
I´m reading McMMM at the moment.
I wonder how modding could be so simple like that.

When I´m finished with all the mod installation
would you accept a challenge then ?
Will take some time, because when I open the CMmods
webside I feel like being in Paradise !!?!!

The Picture of the Pz IVh is great !
Would you like to have a picture of the last Tiger I,
which is still ready for combat ?
Give me your email and I´ll send it.

Bye, Klaus
