Recon spotting - 10-3 SquadLeader - 11-23-2007 6 years after the introduction of recon spotting optional rule I discovered that this action gives random results. Where in the rulebook is this mentioned? RE: Recon spotting - Heldenkaiser - 11-24-2007 Main Program Help -> "Command Menu" -> "Selecting Recon Spotting requires that the Recon Spotting Optional Rule first be enabled. Then with one or more recon units selected, this command will attempt to spot enemy units within the Line-of-Sight of the selected units at the cost of 1/3 of the movement allowance of the units. The probability of spotting the enemy units will depend on the distance from the recon unit to the enemy unit, the terrain that the enemy unit is in, the strength of the recon unit, and its quality and fatigue." I think the key word is "probability". It means units may, or may not, become spotted. Is that what you meant with "random results"? :) RE: Recon spotting - 10-3 SquadLeader - 11-24-2007 Thank you Heldenkaiser. Yes, that's what I mean. I didn't know where is the details on Recon Spotting Optional Rule. Regards Panagiotis |
