Hell's Corner: Vanguard (ME Version) - Hobbes - 11-26-2007

Hi chaps, attached is a quick amendment to WF scenario Hell's Corner: Vanguard. The amendment adds a few starshells to the setup. Not sure what the form is now for posting scenario's that will only work with the Matrix version? (I did search for a few posts but got somewhat confused).

Juno D+1, France: [Best played Human vs Human]
Having fallen short of it's D-Day objectives the Canadian
3rd Division began 7th June looking for a renewed effort
from it's 7th Brigade which was ordered to quickly establish
and hold positions along the Caen-Bayeux highway and railroad
around the villages of Norrey, Putot and Brettville l'Orgueilleuse
while 9th Brigade was to push forward to Carpiquet airfield in
support of the British 3rd Divisions stalled assault towards Caen.

The Division can expect little resistance from the German 716th
infantry Division which was badly mauled on D-Day but contact
has been made with German armoured formations in the Caen area
believed to include the 21st Panzer and 12ss "Hitler Jugend"
Divisions.

It is recommended that players follow the instructions
included in the text file to change visibility to 1 for night turns
11-15 and 26-30. Airstrikes should only be plotted if the following turn
is a daylight turn. Due to communication difficulties experienced by the Canadian forces on 7th June the Allied player should not plot any naval support bombardments until turn 8.

Cheers, Chris

RE: Hell's Corner: Vanguard (ME Version) - Valor - 11-27-2007

Hello, Chris

When you update the scenario, just put in the description that it can be played with ME only.

Thanks for your work! cheers

On to battle then :boom2:

RE: Hell's Corner: Vanguard (ME Version) - Hobbes - 11-29-2007

Thanks Valor but I'm still confused! If I update rather than create a new entry it will prevent people with the Talonsoft version from downloading the
scenario. Are you saying that I should create a second ME only entry for the scenario?

Cheers, Chris

Chris,

Make a new entry where the title starts with ** This would indicate that it's a new scenario for ME. New scenarios that will be released in ME updates will also start with ** and since yours is going to be included in the next patch it would be a good solution keep the old Talonsoft version available as well by having 2 different titles.
If you're not sure what to do you can also ask Jason what he thinks is best.

ps. You could also wait with releasing it until the next update to avoid confusion. I'll leave that up to you. And if you decide to make a new entry, don't forget to place it under Westfront and not under CS ME..

Cheers
Huib
