Divided Ground - Lenny - 12-25-2007 Hi everyone, I am a member of old who was purged...I have not been here in ages, but it the site is looking very healthy. I used to play CS games under "Stuurm" Anyway, I picked up a copy of Divided Ground in a bargain bin and I was keen to revisit the action. I ran into a problem though: I downloaded the official patch from the archive here and the game can't find the CD anymore? In the game's native state though: I can't remember how to turn on hex outlines...I can only find a 'hex contours' feature. Also, the 'reachable hexes' option seems really strange and blue. I have not played the game for long enough to discover any other problems. Are there advisable things to download? I also wouldn't mind a no-cd patch, if it is out there... Neill RE: Divided Ground - junk2drive - 12-25-2007 I had no problem with the patch here. Do you have more than one CD/DVD drive? Hex contours will turn on the hex outlines. I do indeed have more than one cd/dvd drive. The contours seem erratic. On first glance they seem to show changes in map elevation? My version is 1.01. Is there a way to tell if I have a US or UK version? I live in Sydney and sometimes we get titles that come from different markets. Neill RE: Divided Ground - junk2drive - 12-25-2007 Hexes, I play in 3D mode, level 1. Maybe you are talking about 2D level 4? Don't know about version ID. The game looks for the drive letter that the game was installed from. For example: I have my HDD in two partitions, letters C: and D: DVD drive is E: I install the game with E: and then patch. I then install Alcohol 52% freeware and make image of the CD. Alcohol becomes F: To play the game I had to reletter my DVD to G: and Alcohol to E: then DVD back to F: Anyway you may have a problem because of multiple drives. The patch may solve the funny colour problem with night battles or reachable/viewable hexes. RE: Divided Ground - K K Rossokolski - 12-25-2007 Is there a plan to do DG in the Matrix? RE: Divided Ground - junk2drive - 12-25-2007 Yikes, I just tried bootcamp 1 at level 2 with reachable and viewable hexes. Blue hexes everywhere. Not in level 1 3 4 or 5. Checking Hex Contours turns off the hex outlines and highlights raised hexes. I enjoy the Vietnam mod. There is also a Korean War mod and upcoming Cold War mod but no scenarios as of yet. KKR, that is the rumour but I am an outsider. Merry Christmas RE: Divided Ground - majog - 12-26-2007 dg is being done as part of the modern warfare Matrix release scheduled for sometime in spring. It will include N. Africa, DGVN, and Europe. I think it is based on the RS engine though and not the original DG engine. I have no plans of taking down my website at this time. Have another Scn on the An Loa Valley in play test right now. RE: Divided Ground - Lowlander - 12-27-2007 l know from a similar experience with WF that you must use the correct patch US, Europe whatever. This is from memory but start up your DG game and on the top taskbar first from the right, click " help " the drop menu will tell you what version you have. However if you have already installed the wrong one maybe it's best to completely uninstall everything and start from scratch.
