Editor: Understanding Corps Attachment - Sgt Fury - 01-27-2008 Guys, Trying to edit the stock Minsk campaign to make 1st Tank Corps assignable via corps attachment later in the game. Unit reports to 1st Baltic Front Reserve (an army) under the 1st Baltic Front. Peer armies under 1st Baltic Front do not appear to have this problem, as their corps are all assignable. Any ideas? Thanks, Fury RE: Editor: Understanding Corps Attachment - Ricky B - 01-27-2008 Hey Fury, It took me awhile to spot the cause - you need to have an HQ for an army before the units under it can be given a new attachment. I tested it, simply add in the HQ, it doesn't need to be on the map, and you can then reassign the corps/divisions to other units. Rick RE: Editor: Understanding Corps Attachment - Sgt Fury - 01-27-2008 Thanks Rick....I'll give that a whirl. Fury: Consider that now, the way the OOB is without the HQ, and with NO other higher HQ on the map or in play, the unit is pretty much free of any hgher level command checks. So while following Ricks instructions wll work, it isn't really necessary unless you want to actual PREVENT the subject unit from moving to another sector. ...hope you follow what I am saying - but if not, drop me a lne if you like.
