How's Danube Front working out? - Mafooo - 03-02-2008

I'm playing North German Plain version still. Are the new helicopters rules an improvement? What about the main campaign scenario, how is that and is it equitable as far as both sides having a good shot at winning.

The new Helo rules are an improvement. The FAARP's are a good addition. They are also much more vulnerable so if you leave them parked next to the enemy, they probably wont be there when you come back.
As far as the campaign goes...who knows ? Depends on who you are playing.

Mafooo,

We just started a team-campaign game and we'll be posting updates on how badly the NATO forces are getting kicked in the teeth!

Its too be expected, after all we're the elite Warsaw Pact players so there will be no shame in the NATO defeat.

Yes, helos work better than they have in the past.

The new WMD rules are also cool - they put realistic limits on their use. I.E. WP gets to decide to initiate, and if it does, it will have to accept both NATO's larger number of nukes, and that those dense WP formations make great targets. When WMD are used, nukes and non-persistant chems are awesome.
