Patton's Vanguard - Cole - 04-06-2008 I have recently purchased our own Don Fox's book Patton's Vanguard. I'm about to start reading and I understand that Don has created at least eleven scenarios featuring the 4th Armored Division and that each of his scenarios contain historical leaders on both the German and American sides, even down to Private First Class Medal Of Honor winners. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in playing the scenarios with me while we read and discuss the book? If interested please let me know. Click on the title above for link to the book above. RE: Patton's Vanguard - Fubar1 - 04-08-2008 Cole You are correct. I've done just that after reading the book. It was an excellent way of putting additional history and relevance to the game. I've already played Hitler's Last Gamble (failing miserably as the Americans, but I thought there was too much artillery supply given to the Germans as compared to the book....but I'm not bitter :cheeky:) Any other earlier war scenario, I'm open to. Jim :kill: RE: Patton's Vanguard - Von Earlmann - 04-08-2008 I have played a few of these scenarios and they were all most excellent. RE: Patton's Vanguard - Cole - 04-08-2008 Thanks Jim. I have sent you an e-mail. Anyone else interested? I think this would be a great learning experience. RE: Patton's Vanguard - Huib Versloot - 04-10-2008 I'll play the Germans in "Across the Seine" if you're still interested in a game. Huib |
