The Two Wolves - Steel God - 04-14-2008 Two wolves. One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, 'My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.' The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: 'Which wolf wins?' The old Cherokee simply replied, 'The one you feed.' RE: The Two Wolves - Mike Abberton - 04-15-2008 Simple wisdom is often the best. Great post, SG. Mike RE: The Two Wolves - Copper - 04-15-2008 Although this is off topic, I think this is definately on topic for many of us. Sagacity of this kind comes from the simple wisdom that you can make the world a better place by doing so through peace and harmony rather than hatred... even if you may have practiced the latter in the past. We all have the capacity to embrace the right wolf and give him a scooby snack or two. Cheers! Leto |
