POS has left. - Copper - 04-18-2008 Hello Guys Just thought I would inform you that POS has left the Blitz for personal reasons. Im sure we all wish the parochial wanderer well on his travels and perhaps one day we will see him back here again. Good luck POS. No mate I've just been wondering how to post a schmaltzy goodbye message to my loyal fans..;) All I will say is this - I'd already decided to go a week before I even knew Bootie was taking over (see my 9th April post in the 'POS Tourneys' thread), so my departure is absolutely nothing to do with him and I wish him every success, at least he's British..;) I'm heading for my 'fallback positions' namely the three other CM clubs where I've been a member for 5 years and will take things easy for a while relaxing. At least I'll be a lot better off financially not having to buy any more silver trophies for Blitz..;) And what a blessed relief from endless screenshotting til 4 in the morning like some film director, gosh I'm tired.. Paul RE: POS has left. - RedDevil - 04-18-2008 Sadly, we view the exit of a prime example of a single member bringing more to his community than the charades and actions of many others around him. Will we be lesser in his absence? Perhaps, perhaps not, I cannot say that the exchange rate was worth the price yet, however, I'm sure we'll all be able to make that assessment soon enough. Bootie will bring more tournaments and activities to the community, as he has more resources to pull from rather than the energy of 1 man alone. But let's not forget that we survived a bleak period of few activities thanks to POS, and we should never denounce or ridicule what he has given to us, as VERY few persons will ever match it. In his absence, we shall continue to survive on the efforts of another, Perhaps it's time to see that energy as something you can contribute to, rather than simply enjoy for yourself. Yes, he did rub people up the wrong way but on the other hand, there was a small band of POS haters who followed him around. Anyway, with a new CM mod in place the place should be much more calmer and relaxed :) |
