Map for SMPBT - Marduk - 06-19-2008 My first, Middle East, urban map. Download it and comment. Some ideas appreciated. RE: Map for SMPBT - Walrus - 06-20-2008 Hello Marduk Godd effort with that map. It would make a great infantry battle map. The runway is a little short eh! 600m is not a very long runway :-) Perhaps the map is a little 'busy'...just my opinion. I stated to make my maps more open as I made more, the details tend to stand out a little better that way. Hex 51,21 seems to be missing the road tile, but it does say it is a road. Hexes 2,3 and 16,20 seem to be roads going through buildings...if that's what you intended, then no worries eh. There is a good trick you could try on this map. If you take the building at 52, 25 as a mosque, you can create a tall minaret in that hex by using the * key (shift 8) to set the height of that hex. Pyros used this very effectivly in his ANZAC's in Greece campaign. The surrounding hexes will stay the same height but you could bump that one hex up another two levels to simulate the minaret and give some LOS over the map. Could be a cool addition. So...well done mate :-) Keep up the good work. Cheers Walrus RE: Map for SMPBT - Marduk - 06-21-2008 Thanks for tips. I wanted to do a medium urban map, there's not much of maps like this one. Next map will be similar to this one, urban too, but I dunno if it will be in Middle East :) And there you will find LONG runway, or maybe two ![]() Here is the fixed, beta version of this map. |
