Interesting, balanced H2H games - Pip Roberts - 06-22-2008

I have trawled through the game reports and selected 9 EF games where members have reported roughly equal numbers of wins. I have listed them with comments and notes on Difficulty level, No of turns etc for thosae who may be interested.

Pip,
Id love to have a batch of even balanced scenarios but it wont open up anything

Recall that last message, it once again proved my computer is smarter than me!! (no comments from all my opponents!),,

anyway, THANK YOU Pip, looks like a great list and good information

Great to hear from you John. Sorry it's East Front only (my favourite set of scenarios) but if you go to the West Front CS tables you'll be able to find out members' results and make your own list of balanced scenarios. I find it adds to the fun though the more experienced players like the challenge of unbalanced scenarios. I hope the list helps the other 40 who visited the post

Personally there is so much to learn and enjoy I prefer the 5 to 7 level scenarios without too many moves as that way one gets more variety and can study many more different actions

Hi Pip,

Good list. I went to the dBASE to see what others "gems" might be there. I sorted by:

First side wins 50% of the time. I've even played some of them. :smoke:

The Woods are Whispering
12-09-41 Allies Axis Size-5 Turns-30 5-wins 5-losses 3-draws Rated 4.00

** Forcing the Issue
03-10-41 Allies Axis Size-3 Turns-20 6-wins 6-losses 3-draws Rated 3.00

Midnight Madness
19-02-43 Axis Allies Size-2 Turns-21 5-wins 5-losses 1-draw Rated 1.33

Tiergarten
27-04-45 Allies Axis Size-5 Turns-22 4-wins 4-losses 3-draws Rated 4.00

The Bridgehead at Rzhavets
12-07-43 Axis Allies Size-6 Turns-25 9-wins 9-losses 11-draws Rated 4.67

Tank Graveyard at Minsk
02-07-44 Allies Axis Size-3 Turns-18 205-wins 206-losses 64-draws Rated 4.42

I often look to balance as a measure of wins versus losses with the player ratings factored in. Midnight Madness seems to be balanced but just not liked by the players?
