RE: Need caption - Chipmunk - 07-07-2008 Judging from this diagram of a 105mm gun/howitzer I would say yes. http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/105mm/105mm_german_artillery_fig1.jpg It seems to be firing on a very flat trajectory and the look like they are observing the target with binoculars so perhaps it is being used in a direct fire role here.
