SQB + CS - general_solomon - 07-07-2008 How difficult would it be to combine the campaign series game engine with the SQB engine. You play on the CS map. If and when there are critical battles you wanted to oversee, the game switched the map to the SQB engine displaying the village area, for example, which may be 3 to 5 hexed in the CS map to 30 to 40 hexed on the SQB MAP. When the battle ends, the game takes you back to the larger CS map. Hell, you can even throw an even larger operational map russia, europe, asia and north africa. depending on what modules you purchased, you could play on multiple fronts. I think this type of game would beat out any war game out there today. you will bring in the operational, strategic and tactical players. charge the for additional modules to keep the game going forever. I am no programmer and therefore, don't have the knowledge of how to put it together but I know it could be done. thanks for your time. RE: SQB + CS - Dazooz - 07-07-2008 I would think this would be a pretty difficult thing to do, the CS part of the game would have to be a complete re-write, it would have to be something like what Combat Mission is doing with their upcoming operational game that ties into CMBB. RE: SQB + CS - general_solomon - 07-09-2008 anyway, i have this idea patented, so HPS will need to pay me royalties if they move with the project. |
