One man's courage is another man's caution - Liebchen - 07-29-2008

You've got to either love this or hate this when it happens in your game...

I can see a couple of Iron Crosses for thoses two lads, they stand and fight for the Farther land. A bit like the French Foreign Legion at the battle of Camerone they fought to the last.[/i]

Big Grin You're right, with the love or hate depending on which side I'm playing.

I'm amazed at how low their fatigue is.

I can see those two guys standing alone there, "I thought you had the Russian dictionary!"

Now this is Ironic. Over on the CS Ladder there's been more uproar than is usual for that ordinarily calm forum as the latest version of the game includes changes that allow these kind of heroics to happen. Not saying what side is right or wrong, just noticing the irony in one form laughing about something, and another forum complaining about it.

Guess like everything else in life, it's what you're used to.

I would find this funny no matter what side I am on. I can just see it now....

"Really sir," said the 1st Lt. "We have run into a more powerful force than intelligence estimates told us was there. There must be a regiment of infantry hidden in those big rocks up there. They have Tigers supporting them! All my troops are disrupted from the assault. Send reinforcements!"

In the FOW, exaggerated accounts of enemy strength stopped some attacks and were a ready excuse for a defense being out maneuvered.

It really must have been bad luck on the... British (looks like MG44) side to not be able to kill them both with normal fire. My guess is that they ran out of movement points. Oh well, sh*t happens lol.

I can honestly say I've never seen ONE 300 man btl (let alone two in the same hex), reduced to 1 man each - both units lossing 299 men and yet both Btln having so little BF.

I can't imagine this happens very often - but I suppose it is possible.
