Bwahahahaha! - Sgt Barker - 08-13-2008 According to another site this came out in 1988. And I've never seen it!?!? :bang: Read it! Peter Rabbit - Tank Killer RE: Bwahahahaha! - wigam - 08-13-2008 I had to double take the first time until I noticed the line about SS death :censored: regiment. lol RE: Bwahahahaha! - Steel God - 08-13-2008 I'm a fan of the StrategyPage website, in no small part because of James Dunnagin's and Al Nofi's (both of SPI fame) associations with it. That link is in the military jokes section though, so don't take it too serious ;) Funny stuff. RE: Bwahahahaha! - Mike Abberton - 08-13-2008 I hate to break it to Peter, but Mr. McGregor (or his cat) may have been on the other side. That is distinctly an IS-2 (or maybe IS-3) tank in the last two pictures, not a Tiger. So, if Peter is really Piotr or Pyotr, then he just engaged in friendly fire. RE: Bwahahahaha! - Steel God - 08-13-2008 maybe not friendly fire at all Mike. Those bunnies are sporting an awful lot of Nazi kit, so shooting at IS-IIs would be correct. Maybe it was just the press reports of it being a King Tiger that were wrong, you know how the media can screw things up. Personally the whole thing is highly unlikely in my opinion. King Tiger or IS-II, how many times do you remember taking one out with a frontal shot from a hand held AT weapon? RE: Bwahahahaha! - Mike Abberton - 08-14-2008 True, I was assuming since Peter was trying to convince us that it was a Tiger, that he was some sort of partisan with a captured Panzerfaust (I admit I only skimmed the story after the first page or so), but he is in full German garb on the cover. Of course it could be a Hollywood movie, in which case they use just about any old tank to fit the bill (can any one say Battle of the Bulge?). More Chaffee's saw action in Battle of the Bulge than in the entire ETO during WWII ;) |
