Testing - PoorOldSpike - 08-17-2008 CombatMission2 2008-08-16 17-17-26-70.avi -------------------------------------------- EDIT- nah it won't work, I videoed 30 seconds of a CM turn with the FRAPS program but I don't know how to paste it into this post (sniffle) http://www.fraps.com/ RE: Testing - Jan - 08-17-2008 Where did you uploaded it? RE: Testing - Mikey_FGM - 08-17-2008 I've made a couple high quality, CM videos with Fraps. What I've found that works is uploading the Fraps raw video to Windows Media Maker. Make title edits, audio fades, etc, with the extremely limited WMM options. Save as a high quality video. Upload to Youtube. Paste link here. http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=rcb2oOC_YMc Make sure to click "Watch in High Quality"! As for embedding video inside a post, I don't think it's possible... RE: Testing - PoorOldSpike - 08-17-2008 Thanks guys, the vid clip icon is sitting on my desktop as an AVI file and works fine when I click on it, but I don't know how to put it into a post. It's only 30 seconds long because that's all the free trial version of Fraps allows, so I'd have to pay for the full version. And I think I'd also have to pay to sign up with Youtube wouldn't I, so I'm wondering whether to abandon the whole idea RE: Testing - Copper - 08-17-2008 I believe YouTube is a free service? RE: Testing - Mikey_FGM - 08-17-2008 POS, Youtube is Free. I have a full version of Fraps that I will send to you. RE: Testing - PoorOldSpike - 08-18-2008 Okay i signed up with Youtube but when I tried to upload the clip it seemed to freeze after the blue uploading bar filled up. Back to the drawing board, maybe I have to re-configure the clip so's it's acceptable, i dunno.. RE: Testing - Mikey_FGM - 08-18-2008 Quote:I have to re-configure the clip so's it's acceptable, i dunno.. Yes, and that can be done with Windows Media Maker. Open up WMM, make a "Movie" using your AVI Video clip, then Save your movie as a "High Quality Video (large)". It will be saved in Windows Media Video, WMV format, which is acceptable to Youtube. RE: Testing - PoorOldSpike - 08-18-2008 Is Windows Media Maker bundled inside my WinXP Home? Windows Media Player is in there alright but I can't see anything called 'Maker' EDIT- hey i just found something called Windows Movie Maker, i'll go try that |
